Working meeting organized by Roma Initiatives Office with civil society partners from the region

The working meeting was held on Vienna on 5-7 April 2017, and it brought together current and potential future partners for theCivil Society Fund of Roma Integration 2020 initiative from participating countries in the region: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey.

This was the first of a series of workshops for the coordination of civil society efforts at national level. The aims of the first workshop were:

  • Agree on minimum standards for transparency, inclusion and self-selection of CSO participants and representatives at Roma Integration 2020 events organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC);
  • Discuss working methodologies and agree on minimum standards for consultation and validation of results;
  • Agree on joint initiatives and next steps.

This served as a way for partners of the Civil Society Fund of Roma Integration 2020 to meet each other, learn about new environments and challenges, as well as innovative approaches to promote Roma inclusion. The workshop assisted in establishing partnerships both within the countries and across the region.
